Join Hamden Police Department and the Hamden Youth Center for the 2018 April Vacation Camp. The week long extravaganza includes a movie field trip, a K-9 demonstration, a field trip to WTNH-8 and a number of other surprises.
The after school program, open to kids from 7th to 12th grade from Hamden, runs from 8 a.m til 3 p.m. The program is designed to keep teens occupied during their week off, according to Hamden Town Center Program Director Chris Buechele. "Half of our kids are special needs, some are troubled, and some just want to hang out."
Among the activities available at the camp are basketball, video games, and arts and crafts.
The deadline to register is April 9.
